How to get starfish to climb?

Ok ... so how do you get the starfish to climb up the glass?

I have the "starfish allowed on glass" option enabled.

I run Windows 98SE and have left the computer alone for 3-4 hours and STILL the starfish is sitting on the bottom.

Any clues?

Steve,

Make sure the lighting is on automatic. When the starfish gets close to the glass, he might climb up when the lights in the foreground go down. <Of course, he has a mind of his own>

He is kinda shy and won't climb when you can see him.
