Sound disapears
Just bought this screen saver, I noticed that the bubbling sound just stays on for the first 5 seconds, I thought the sound once enable would play always.
I am using the screen saver on a G4 Cube with 1.2 of RAM Mac OS 10.1.5 |

It's a conflict with QuickTime 6.
Expect a new version of the Aquarium shortly to fix this problem.

I just installed the current version. The audio cuts off after a few seconds - not only for the aquarium, but it takes out all audio for the computer. The only solution is to restart. I'm on a G4 Quicksilver 867, OS 10.1.5, QT 6 is installed, audio routed through USB to an Edirol UA-3, then to amp and speakers.

Installed v1.1.0 this afternoon on my iBook 700; OS 10.1.5, QT 6 Pro; 128 MB RAM.
Audio works great-- but I can't figure out what the new "shimmer" controls are supposed to do. I set this to each of the 3 settings and I couldn't detect any change. Maybe I don't know what "shimmer" is, so I don't know what to look for? I thought it was the effect of the light filtering down onto the outcrop and bottom.... |

It affects the lighting on the fish fins and the shadows as they ripple. It is pretty subtle. Go with the lowest setting you can to either increase fps or decrease CPU usage.
