settitngs for 32 bit color depth not active
Howdy!
Bought the Marine Aquarium 2.0 today and like it a great deal! One problem: on the settings page there is a selection for 16 bit and 32 bit color depth , but the 32 bit button is grayed out. I am running an HP Vectra VL400 desk top computer, with a Dell 1024 x 768 monitor, with Windows 98 2nd Edition plus all updates. Explanations/suggestions? Thanks! Aloha! HulaBear |

The aquarium uses your video card as the primary muscle to run properly. You may not have a strong enough card to run in 32 bit. What video card are you using?

32-bit uses twice the video memory of 16-bit (and looks no different when running the Aquarium). If your card doesn't have enough memory for 1024x768 at 32-bit, you might try a lower resolution, like 600x800.
Even though 32-bit does nothing for the look of the Aquarium in fullscreen, it does have an advantage. If you are using 32-bit for your desktop, then the Aquarium can mix in with your other windows when using it in Windowed mode.

Thanks, Jim!
Howdy, Jim!
Thanks for the reply and a truly fine product! Is there a way to Zoom the view so that the fish look larger? Nice attention to detail; maybe someday you could put in an anemone for the clown fish to stay in. I am interested in ancient sea life found only in fossils; perhaps someday you could put together a view of a primeval sea floor with trilobites, armored fishes, and sea lilies (crinoids). Lots of strange life forms in the early oceans. Aloha! Charles Whittle (HulaBear) |

2.01 is available now.
http://feldoncentral.com/forums/show...&threadid=2269 Just insert your Aquarium CD and download/run the 2.01 installer.
