Full version doesn't open as smoothly as the XP Plus version

Whenever the full version of the Aquarium is activated, it opens like a window. For a second or two it looks like a window with the Title of "Sachs Aquarium" I believe, and you can also see the mininmize, maximize and close buttons on the top right. The version that came with XP Plus just flashes straight into the aquarium. Is there a way to get the full version to open just as quickly?

No. The XP version was written from scratch in DirectX 8. The full version was written for DirectX 6.

The full version IS a window. It just happens to fill the whole screen by default. Pressing "f" toggles between windowed and full-screen mode. The XP version can't do this.
