MA2 set as saver becomes none

Hi:
The Marine Aquarium 2 won't stay set as the desired screen saver. It's as if I selected none (no screensaver). If I preview it, it works fine but when I set it as the screen saver it won't activate and when I check the screensaver selection for Windows XP it has none selected. I have tried different resolutions, 16-bit, etc., and removed the old Aquaruim, reinstalled the Marine Aquarium 2, but to no avail. I have a Dell Inspiron 8000 running Win XP Home edition. Any suggestions? Thanks.

After selecting MA2, be sure to click "Apply" then "OK"

This is because the Aquarium is named "Marine Aquarium 2.scr" with spaces. This is a known bug.

Please go to Start menu -> Search -> Files and Folders... and search for Marine Aquarium. When you find it, please rename it to MarineAquarium2.scr with no spaces.

Please let us know if you have any more problems and Welcome to the Forum!

Dear feldon27
I initially took the spaces out of a C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch file and made it,

"MARINEAQUARIUM2.SCR-........." where the "....."has letters and numbers. This didn't

work, so I kept it this way and also took the spaces out of a C:\Windows\system32 file and

made it, "MarineAquaruim2" This worked! Is it ok to keep the spaces out of the first file?

Thank you so much! And thanks for the welcome to the site of the best screen saver made.
Sincerely,
John

the Prefetch files are created and destroyed in the course of the computer running.

The second one, c:\windows\system32\ is the keeper.

This problem will be fixed in the next version of MA2 put up at SereneScreen.com.
