Great Screensaver !!
I only downloaded the demo after seeing the screensaver in a shop and was so impressed I went and asked the sales staff where they got it from.
I had it on my PC for a couple of days, found this forum, read about V1 coming up and seeing my wife and my 7 year granddaughter love it so much, I dusted off the Visa and registered. Best money I have spent for ages, my granddaughter and I spend ages watching the different fish. I have never been a Aquarium person because of the committement needed in cleaning tanks etc so this is great. Congratulations Jim on a great screensaver of which I have seen no equal. Looking forward to the upcoming version release. Greetings from Tasmania, Australia Dennis |

Hi everyone,
I'm new on this forum and with SereneScreen aquarium (I registered today). My story is really close to DennisT's one (except my daughter is 2 years old only ![]() Congratulations for this nice fan site, his forum and Jim Sachs, for your awesome Marine Aquarium. I was a fan of Defender of the Crown (C64), and it's a big pleasure to meet again the talent of Jim, 15-20 years later, in this wonderful aquarium. T(h)anks ! |

I haven't tried Munch very long, because Xbox is not officially out here yet in Europe.
By the way, I've read on this forum, that there's a possibility that Sach's aquarium could be ported to Xbox, is it true ? Have you any details ? |

Munch's Oddysee is not as blindingly-difficult as the first 2 games, so you might find the game easy. I loved it. It's a beautiful and hilarious game. They did a good job transitioning from 2D to 3D.
There's a possibility the Aquarium or some other SereneScreen product could appear on the X-Box because it's already running a version of Windows 2000 and it is already running DirectX 8, and Microsoft isn't as hard to license for as Sony and Nintendo.

Thanks for the informations.
![]() Do you know if Ms and Jim are in discussion for the Xbox at the present time ? It would be great to see the aquarium on a big TV (without 10 meters of cable). |

I've had no discussions with Microsoft about the Xbox. Based on the Plus Pack fiasco, I'd be very hesitant to deal with them again.

Based on the Plus Pack fiasco...
Wasn't aware that it was such a fiasco, would you care to elaborate?/Calle |

Microsoft doubles the price of the Plus Pack from $19.95 to $39.95 just before shipping, customers assume that we get part of that and then find they have to spend another $19.95 for "the rest of the fish". Tons of hate mail.

I feel sorry for the "+ pack fiasco". Perhaps if it sold separately, it would be a bigger success ? (you get the full package for what you pay).
Is the PC box-version doing well ? |

Not yet. It's difficult to get stores to carry a package from a company with only one product. The Fry's chain has signed up, but it hasn't hit their shelves yet.
Internet sales remain very strong, but only about 1/3 come from the Plus Pack, and these are often customer-service nightmares. They are already mad that the Aquarium they got with the Plus Pack doesn't count at all toward buying the full version, and that they could have just come straight to us. Then they ignore the warnings to download and test the full version, thinking that it must be similar to the Plus Pack version.

I wonder if Nintendo would pick it up for the Game Cube ^_~

Nintendo won't even talk to you unless you are a $50 million dollar game developer. Which is why innovative smart games don't come out much on Nintendo hardware, in my opinion.

Hello Folks,
Tried the demo, checked the sites, just joined the forum. Must say Mr. Sachs, the Aquarium is the bestest best screensaver ever. I've seen and tried hundreds of screensaver but this one beats them all hands down, all the rest are just plain junk. I actually even dreamt the aquarium ![]() Excellent forum Mr Administrator, thanks for helping Sach Aquarium fans get together. Has anyone tried to run the screensaver on a MAC, maybe with a Virtual Windows program? Mr. Sachs, have you tried teaming up with APPLE to package the screensaver? Is the Aquarium selling in Singapore or Malaysia? |

I'm not allowed to attempt a Mac version until my Microsoft agreement expires in April, but we have a couple of Mac programmers ready to attempt a conversion.
The Aquarium is actually much more popular in the Orient than it is here. I'm told that in Hong Kong and Singapore, it's difficult to find a street corner where it is not running in a store window.

Maybe it's because people in the orient like Koi and other kinds of fish? People in the orient eat a lot more fish than people here so they are more in tune with fish in general. I guess it doesn't matter why it is more popular there than here. I just wanted to watch my post count go up.
