Upx

Just for anyone (including Jim) who's worried about the size of the last version. 1.6 mb (too big for a floppy), Upx cuts it down to about 1.14 mb.

Also Jimbo, did you read my follow up post about calcnormals effect on certain fishes' fins and look into it?

Re: Upx

The download version (a WinZip self extracting file) is under 1.2 megs, and fits easily on a floppy. As soon as I can go back to compressed sound, another 400k will be knocked off.

Yes, I was able to see the color-flipping on the fish you pointed out. Just leave Vertex-normal recalculation off.

Re: Upx

Well, Upx cuts down the size of the executable quite nicely. Has no overhead and decompression is virtually instant. It's also free.

Hopefully when you have time you can fix those fish, as just having the feature off isn't much of a solution. I prefer it on because it makes the fish movement and shading more realistic.
