Credit where credit's due!
Just saw the Percula Clown Fish stand his ground head on with a Lion Fish - just like in real life, they are brave little things, defending their anenome. If you've ever seen them diving, you can get your mask within an inch of their faces.
The only thing missing was the click of clownfish's jaws as a scare tactic Jim, I am gobsmacked at the realism of the aquarium - the lionfish reminds me of swimming through shoals of them in the red sea. You have even captured that look which says to the rest of the fish, "Don't mess with me, come another inch closer and you gonna die!" One problem - I have a pc on my desk entirely devoted to your masterpiece, and I can't get any work done for staring at it One last thing, while I'm on a roll. In all my trawling of this forum, I haven't seen a single note of recognition to the original designer of these amazing creatures. Evolved by chance mutations? Year right!! Creator of the stars and fish - you are truly awesome - big respect! OK I'm done now Luke (p.s. sorry if this belongs as a post in the 'comments on version 1.1 thread, but I've tried in vain for hours to post a reply so am seeing if posting a new thread works ) |

Lots of praise for Jim here:
https://www.feldoncentral.com/forums...=&postid=11671 It took hours to post your comment? What's the prob? I know we've been experiencing some database errors.

Morgan,
I'm sure it was just a database problem, first a blank screen kept displaying when I submitted, and then if I refreshed, a message saying no thread id . Nevermind, it works now. Thanks for directing me to more praise for Jim, but while I agree that praise to Jim is well deserved, I think you missed the point of me posting this thread. I kept it subtle 'cos I was afraid I was broaching a taboo subject for the forum, namely religion. What I was trying to say was that the ORIGINAL creator of the fish which serenescreen so brilliantly models (GOD / chance - whatever's yer bag, baby) deserves a mention. After all (sorry Jim, for borrowing your metaphor) the guy selling the postcards in the Louvre, doesn't get hailed as the world's premier enigmatic portrait artist |

Oh sorry.
Yes, I WILL scuba dive in my life at some point. Seeing these fish in real life is on my list of things to do.

Morgan,
You don't have to wait until you get to scuba dive. Snorkling takes no training, no air to buy and really cheap equipment. It's really great. You just need to get to somewhere warm like the Florida Keys, Virgin Islands, etc. Bob Frank |
