Falz,

I was in the same situation as you. My e-mail had changed since I registered for the Aquarium.

I sent an e-mail to service with my old and new e-mail information along with my original order number on April 1st. 25 hours later I had my new key code.

Very painless.

You wouldn't be so unconcerned about piracy if it was your income at stake.

I've written some software of my own and it's all freeware, but I do ask for donations if anyone found it useful. Addmittedly, nobody has donated a single cent yet :-) So yeah, it's sad that people don't pay if they don't have to, even small amounts.

I'm not too fussed about not getting my key yet, I figured 2.0 would have the 3D background but it's not there yet. Seems more like it should be version 1.2.

I hate to side against Prolific on this one, but the 2.0 keycode did not affect a single pirate.

I strongly disagree. We got a ton of new orders. Many were probably from people who decided it was just too much trouble to go hunting for a new bootleg Key Code each time the program is upgraded.

Also, after a few years of this, even the hackers who create the Key Generators will be old enough to realize that they have been working for 1/10 minimum wage, and get a better-paying job at McDonald's.

Can you provide the newest date for CD users to get an upgrade? It is now the 2nd week of April; in the first post of this thread it stated the 1st week of April.

Also, I just re-installed V1.0 - how do I get the 1.1 upgrade? All links seem to point to 2.0 only.

Not sure where the CD -> 2.0 upgrade link is.

The links to 1.1 are not public anymore.

I have checked ulmost daily trying to find an upgrade page
for purchasers of the Boxed CD - the upgrade page
www.serenescreen.com/support/regupgrade.php continues
to state that the upgrade will be available during the first
week of April ("on schedule") - Email to support has not
been answered.

Yup, almost done. It required a bit of programming. And, because of the amazing response to this “gift” the tech support have been working around the clock to get everyone updated.

People change Email addresses too often (I have had two email addresses, one from last decade, and one for this decade). I wish there were a simple way to give people a public key like thing so that spammers could not get it, but that places where you WANT people to be able to track you could.

But things should be calm this coming week, and we are updating the SereneScreen site. And we are about to release www.LifeGlobe.com. And we just released a special military version of our Flag product www.FlagPride.com.

And Marine Aquarium Time will be out next week. So, things are moving.

Thank you for your continued patience.

ahem, I cannot honestly believe that you are that nieve Jim! the people who write patches and keygens do it because it's there,

you'll be telling me next that eventually people will stop climbing everest as enough people have done it.

Yeah, as far as I'm concerned, the Aquarium should check for internet access every 5 min until it has compared the keycode with the customer database. If the # of IP addresses reporting that keycode lights up like a Christmas tree, e-mail that user asking them what's going on.

I've never understood the changing e-mail addresses either. I hear people spending $22 a month for AOL and just gag. For $10-12 a month you can get better local internet access and for $8 a month you can get your own domain name with webspace.

The crazy thing is, websites like iname.com (e-mail redirect) have been around for over 2 years now.

I use a hotmail address to register at almost every website.

MadBob - That's why we make the Key so easy to hack. If they consider it a challenge, they are indeed pathetic.

I have had a forward Iname account Since 1994 then made it a POP3 7 years ago all most 10 years with the same email address. BTW: I only get 3 - 4 spams a day.

Why is MAT continuously having newer versions released but Marine Aquarium 2.0 is not?

Both get updated each time. But we do not publish this always.

If we get something working on one product, it will work on ALL our products eventually.

A small group is testing MA2. Unlike prior betas, I have posted a few links around the board to get the latest MA2 if someone is having one of the problems the later versions address.
