I have a visiontek geforce3 ti-500. For those that care one way or another, with fsaa 4x getting around 80fps at 1028x768x32. But there really is no difference that I can tell, which is to be expected if the aquarium isn't designed to use it.

Well, Eddie
The aqaurium can use FSAA. It's just that the banding on the background is real bad with it on.

W4TAZ?
I have a GeForce2 GTS. I get *exactly* that frame rate in the Aquarium with the 23.11 drivers. For this and other reasons I've gone back to the good old 12.90s (I realise this is not an option for you with a GeForce3). Turning AA or VSync on or off makes no difference. It's a specific issue with the 23.11s and Direct3D on this system. I've not seen anyone else complaining so it's pretty rare. But we've got the same problem since the fps is so specific. Funnily enough I too have a Pentium III 600 (Katmai - 512k cache version in my case)! With any other nVidia driver set I get around 110 fps at 1600x1200 with VSync off. Go figure... |

Well, I'm back, after disappearing for so long. But I did read the forums regularly. Just never got round to registering for the new one.
I used to run the aquarium on a P3 666MHz, with a GeForce3. The 9fps is defintely the problem if the 23.11s. I'm using 22.80, which seems to have the best performance and stability at the moment. |
