If you have a question specifically for SunKing, you can also send him a Private Message (the PM button under his name).

If your question is what FPS people get on GeForce 2 cards, there are 5+ models to choose from:

GeForce 2 GTS Ultra
GeForce 2 GTS
GeForce 2
GeForce 2 MX400
GeForce 2 MX200

I don't think a Home Theater (HTPC) application vs. using an ordinary monitor would affect framerates.

That sounds horrible.

Please turn off Anti-Aliasing, Anisotropic Filtering, and set color depth on the Aquarium to 16-bit.

Please let us know if you need help changing these settings.

Ok, I turned them off, i changed it to 16 bit and hit apply and then ok.

It seems to go back to 32bit everytime i check it. Don't know why this is happening.

My FPS are still at 19.xx to 21.xx after i turned off the two that you mentioned.

Help?

Thank so much, Morgan

Something is wrong somewhere. I have a GF 2 Ultra and at 1600x1200 I get 92 fps with v-sync off. Which drivers are you using?

Hi Michael,

I downloaded the 44.xx drivers ,but had to uninstall them(messed everything up) so I went back to the 23.xx drivers.

How much memory are you using for PCI texture memory size? It's under the "Direct 3D settings.

How many MB of system memory are you using for textures in PCI mode? It's under the "Open GL settings"

Thanks so much : >

Neither of those texture memory settings should affect the Aquarium. Note that the Aquarium is Direct3D, not OpenGL.

Can you run the Aquarium and press the S key to bring up the Status display and copy down everything you see at the top and paste it here?

MX is inherently an MX200, no?

Almost. Not looking to hi-jack the thread or anything, but it should be something like this:

• The original NV11 – GeForce 2 MX is basically a GeForce 2 GTS w/ only 2 pipelines, 175/166/350MHz core/mem/RAMDAC and came in 32 & 64 MB configs.

• GF2MX400 (Still a NV11) is the same but has 200/166MHz core/RAM.

• GF2MX200 is clocked at the same speed as the original MX but has the memory interface cut in half for 64 bits instead of the 128 of the others. These never came with 64MB.

• The (TTBOMK) never released GF2MX100 was intended to have 175/166MHz core/RAM, 8/16MB and the mem interface cut in half again which meant it couldn't outperform the TNT2s it was supposed to replace.

/Tiny GF

P.S.
The GeForce 2 Pro is the same as a GF2GTS but with the RAM at 200MHz instead of 166MHz and also included the TwinView of the MX cards.
Also, there was a 0.15µm GeForce 2 Ti released (all other GF2s used 0.18µm). It ran the core@250MHz and RAM@200MHz.
Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.

Tiny, - How do I say this tactfully? ......

My first GeForce2 was a MX200 64MB (it's now in my sons computer), I replaced it with a MX400 because Morgan etc said the MX400 was so much better. - I found very little difference, - may be because they were both 64MB. - The 200 was very quiet, - it needed no fan!

I now use a GF4 MX440 ........ anyone need a MX400?

I found the GeForce 2 MX200 to be absolutely STRANGLED when trying to talk to its own memory. Wolfenstein III at 1024x768 was an unplayable 20fps. The MX400 does an acceptable 50fps.

I don't have a problem with Wolfenstein 3D (it's a 1st person shooter), it runs great at 1024x768 (16 bit) with my MX200!
