** Version 1.1.2 **

If you are experiencing the following bugs with version 1.1 downloaded between February 20th and March 4th:

- Desktop Wallpaper reset upon first exit
- Icon color depth reset to 256 colors upon first exit
- Font smoothing switched off upon first exit
- Screen saver still not set to the Aquarium if it was previously set to None
- Starfish disappearing off the left, right, or top of the screen.

then you can now download the updated version at SereneScreen.com.

PLEASE DO NOT DOWNLOAD UNLESS YOU ARE EXPERIENCING ISSUES

It would be pointless for 75,000 people to download this new version when less than 10% of people are reporting these problems or can work around them.

Be aware that the Windows settings bugs (the first 4 bugs above) only happen the first time the Aquarium is installed and, once fixed, they don't exhibit themselves again until you uninstall/reinstall again.

This is a silent update. If you downloaded AquariumV11.exe before March 5th, it's version 1.1. If you downloaded it on or after March 5th, it's version 1.1.2.

So, what's new in the V1.1.2 that is available now, then?

What do you mean, Yodelking? Where's this 1.1.2 supposed to be available?

OK, Yodelking

My mistake. Guess that's just more proof on Morgan's talk about those "silent" upgrades...

The version he is talking (writing?) about should be an even later revision though,

My guess is that they talk about V1.1.1, and that Jim fixed something more and made a V1.1.2.

Like Morgan said in his first post, its nothing more than a few bug fixes. There are no new features, no new fish or anything like that. Occassionally, if Jim gets some problems fixed that have been causing minor troubles, he will replace the download with the fixed version. This is for minor bug fixes only, if you haven't been experiencing any of these problems anyway, then its no big deal.

I don't think you are the one who is confused. People are thinking that a new bug fixed version is out and they are calling it 1.1.2

The whole idea is to avoid this kind of stir. If someone emails us that they are having trouble with wallpaper changing, we simply have them re-download, otherwise there's no reason for anyone to be bothered.

[MORE DELETED confusion about 1.1.2]

It's easy for me to remember build numbers, from my experience with Adobe products. If the version number ends in 0 (zero), don't even think of installing it.

In the Beta test that I just tested, the installer said that it was going to install 1.1.2 of the aquarium. That is where people are seeing version 1.1.2.

Yep, the installer said it was going to install v1.12. It seems to have fixed the starfish disapearance bug, now I can disable the "starfish allowed on glass" feature without loosing the starfish I didn't really use it but it's good to have that option available anyway.

I hadn't noticed it was 1.1.2. I'll change all the posts to describe 1.1.2 then.

EDIT: 1.1.2 appears to be released.
