Help! 2.6 Graphical Glitch

hi guys, i've been using serenescreen marine screensaver for a long time.. it has been running flawlessly until recently when i changed my computer. I experienced shades of blue blocks and unviewable corals.

FYI, i am using a ATI Radeon Hd3870 graphics card. Anyone can provide solution to this??

Thanks in advance

New ATI graphics cards and its new drivers doesn't seem to be handling the compatibility with the old Direct X version software.
Right now, I don't see how it can be fix unless ATI comes up with the fix or the screensavers get rewritten for newer version of DirectX.
Rewriting will take a while, as you will see with MA3.0.
If there is an old ATI drivers for the graphic card, it will work. But having a new graphic card means using an older version of the drivers to be out of the question.
Maybe if there are enough people sending a complain to ATI, they may fix it sooner.

Nope, nothing fixed. We *are* nearing up to a release, but it could still be months away AFAIK.
Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.

I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says,
'Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.'
I suppose we all thought that, one way or another.

Jim doesn't give "release dates" per se. There is no way to accurately judge just what might happen in the programming at any given time that could cause a delay.

There are several things left to go in the new version, but, suffice to say that we are getting relatively close.

I've checked with some users with the hd3870 graphics card, all encountered the same problem. seems like ATI cards always have problems with serenescreen.

I think ATI fixes the bugs in popular games first before anything else. Hopefully they will fix the compatibillity bug with old DirectX soon.

Thanks for letting us know, tyler. By the way, for future reference, what's the driver version number?

I am sorry to say that not all the issues were fix. Some parts of the models are popping in and out still. I think ATI is trying to do too much optimization that it ends up removing models that it thinks is hidden but are really not.

I am having a similar issue, I just updated to the latest driver 7.15. I also have an HD2900 PRO card. I never cared for ATI cards, now I remember why. I tried this card out, first time in years going to ATI cards from Nvidia.

My fish just all dissapear except the fins. Semms mostly as they go behind something.

I run Vista Ultimate 64bit
4GB Ram
AMD 64 X2 6400+ 3.2ghz
ATI HD2900PRO 512mb Video.

Annoying issue, went from 7.12 driver and still same issue. It doesnt happen all the time just here and there. Still an awesome scene but very annoyed with this issue.

Has anyone discovered a fix to this issue? I like the whole fish, I mean the fins are nice and all, but the fish itself is much more colorful =)

I have tried multiple drivers for my ATI card.
