screensaver not functional after G4 'wakes up'

My older G4, running OS9.0.4 has a problem. Once I've woken it up in the morning, the screensaver won't kick in. I have to restart to have it functional again.

Ideas?

Is the application still running after you wake up the computer (should be in the multi-finder menu in the top right corner)?

What version of MA? Do you have any hot corners set? Any "cold" corners? What PRECISELY are the repro steps? Since we haven't seen it in testing or before from a user we need as much info as you can give us.

Thanks.

Yes, application is still running, and can be invoked manually (command N), just not the screensaver part.

Yes, two hot corners, but they don't 'kick in' either. No cold corners.

MA2.0.3

I leave my computer on all the time. Manually put it to sleep at nite, then wake it in the morning. After that, the screensaver is non-existent till reboot of computer.

thanks for the consideration.

Lainey,

If you kill off MA, then re-launch it does that solve the problem? Not suggesting this as a long term workaround, just probing.

Thanks,
Jim

No, sorry, that was the first thing I tried.

It seems to be only after I manually put it to sleep, which I only do at nite, I don't have it set to 'sleep' by itself.

Next!
