Disable Splash Screen Advertisement

How do I disable the Serene Screen Marine Aquarium 3 Splash Advertisement that comes up when the screen saver starts? I can't find a setting for that anywhere ...

Welcome to the forums.

As to the splash screen, you can't.

It's pretty much the only product branding or advertisement that Jim uses. It's there to stay.

That screen masks the loading of the program data. If it wasn't there, the screen would be blank for a long time, resulting in a lot of Customer Service emails.

Ok. In my machine, that screen is only there for about 2 seconds. I guess I have just never been a fan of splash screens.

I love the aquarium, however, and have been a long time user, on both mac and pc.

It depends a lot on the system you're running Marine Aquarium 3 on. Some computers will show the logo for 10 seconds or more as the textures are loaded and uncompressed.

Yes, it all depends on the speed of the machine.

Let me see how it does on my systems......

1.5 seconds on my older laptop (1.7GHz Pentium M)

~1 second on the media system (2.2GHz Athlon 64 3500)

~5 seconds on the Vista system (2GHz Athlon 2900)
(if I close the sidebar down it drops to ~ 2 seconds)

2-3 seconds on this system (2GHz Athlon 64 3000)
(this system has a lot of other apps running at the same time)

These are all older, single core systems.
