Yeah, I was thinking 'bout Mark too the other day. Did he talk about some vacationing or have I just dreamt that part? (Anbody want to take a swing about me dreaming about Mark on vacation – go right ahead ).

Pat,
That is actually a really cute little pup. I'm just not in the same hemisphere...

And neither has James, I am growing concerned about the two of them. We haven't heard from James sincw before Mark posted. I hope there is nothing wrong with either one.

It was Marian's mention about James the other week that made me realise we had not heard from Mark either.
The problem is that, rightly or wrongly, I feel we might be prying into people's affairs more than we should be, though I admit that when people that we think we have come to know, are not heard from, you start to think!

Perhaps they have just become fed up with we regular posters rabbiting on! - we must get overbearing at times!

There have been many over the years who I considered regulars, that have not posted for a while, - check the top posters list, - where are, BlueWinterWaves, Shinsa, Swede, hpman77, Coelacanth, codgio, eddieWan, Lightfeather, memilm, SunKing, handimannbob, CephaloP, etc, etc.

I have an address for Mark, but I'm not sure it's the right thing to contact him! - There have been others who have 'disappeared' for a tiny while and then returned!

LancRock,
Light has been posting recently. In your "ridiculous pictures" thread.

Coelacanth left, but said goodbye first. Codgio has been here since day one (or so) but his posts can be pretty far apart (he's more resistant to the "must post more virus" that has inflicted you and me). Memilm posted not too long ago if I remember correctly.

As for prying, I consider you guys friends which would make it concern rather than prying if (when ) you come looking for me whenever I dissappear off the face of the forum for a while.

Here's an attempt at re-jacking the thread. Say hi to a somewhat puzzled Nelly living with my girlfriend's parents.

Is that a Shepard, which is one breed of large dogs I do like. It isn't that I don't or have never like dogs, it is just over the past ten or fifteen years other people's animals that are left to ramble at will have killed some of my pets. They killed my pet duck name Daffy, a black duck I raised from an hatching. Jump the fence and there were nothing left but feathers all over the yard. I didn't see that attack so it could have been another wild animal, a fox is seen around here at times.

Three dalmations ran my pet goose, Lucy, to death. And there have been others that I won't go into.

We are just outside of the city limits and so I guess the lease law does not apply.

All theses kittens that we have found around here; most are from animals abandon along the road close to my house. I have taken in four that I will try to find homes for or keep myself.

Little Eydasi, the calico, I will keep no matter what. Besides her sweet personality, her fur of three colors is beautiful.

Binxz, the black kitten, Lauren has claimed. So I don't know about finding her another home.

And the two I have bottle raised, they think I am momma

So what to do?

Well one solution is to get a pet mean enough to not risk any heat from others, but that kinda narows the field a bit...

Nelly is beautiful, german shepards are one of my favorite breeds and they are so smart. As for trouble that large dogs cause, the fault can usually be traced back to the owner, sometimes people don't know how to handle their own dogs or are even afraid of them and of course they can sense this. Sorry to hear about all your problems Marian, even though its outside the city limits owners should still have to be responsible for what thier pets do.

Merlin is adorable Rich, that name seems to suit him; either that or Oreo.

Hi Rich. what an incredible distinct looking bundle of energy. Merlin sounds good or bobby or shamus comes to mind. if you're looking for wizard names, there's always dumbledore... or other character names out of HP. but I'm sure you'll come up with something appropriate that'll fit and feel right for you both. congratulations on the new member of your family and have fun with the naming.

thanks surferminn and grape_jellyfish , after debating on what names we could think of and searching through a baby book of names, we have decided to call him merlin.
And after being home for only one day with us, he has tried to attack the cat lol, ripped the lounge, chewed the cushion, made love to a soft toy ( no details needed lol ), I think he has made himself at home....
A thing we did find out about him, he was delivered to perth( westa australia ) from melbourne with 4 other puppies, on their arrival they had found them all to have contracted a canine disease ( starts with C )(cant remember the name ) but lets just say merlin and only 1 of the other puppies were the only 2 to survive ....

I'm ignorant on animals, but 10 weeks old only and you're sending him to obedient school already? isn't that a bit young? shouldnt you let him develop a bit more before you send him to obedient school? he's still just a mere young puppy.... just out of the woods from being traumatised from watching his siblings die and all... of course, I'm just projecting my own concerns I realize....
