The "save as" button would be nice completed with a "save" button, for the opened setting-file, to save as the same file-name.
The suggestion from James seems to me very nice and logical to implement, I agree them all.

James,
Make the fish appears translucent while dragging
That would be nice yes. Unfortunately the drag-image must be an icon file. If I am not mistaken Windows XP supports translucent icons, but what about us non-WinXP users then?
make it as big as shown on the slots
They are, but Visual Basic shrinks them down.
hot-key for function short cut
Good idea, I will do that.

memilm,
a "save" button, for the opened setting-file, to save as the same file-name.
Yes, that would be a logical addition. I think there is just enough room to squeeze one in.

And you'll be happy to know that I added the "load last saved custom setting" option. I hope it works the way you wanted.

It works fine, but the "load last used custom setting" option would be better as the actually with "last save setting". What do you mean?

memilm,
Ah, now I see. You want the program to remember the last setting you were working on, right? Changing it now...

... and done! Also added hot-keys and the extra 'Save' button.

The program work fine now with the last used settings.
Is there another posibility to make an option to overwrite the settings without this popup window (for "save as" and "save" buttons?

Can you add keyboard shortcuts to the rest of the buttons and the menu-options? It would be also nice to set the position of the strarfish directly, something like "STRG"+"Shift"+"E"...
And at last with hitting "ESC" to end the program.

memilm,
Can you add keyboard shortcuts to the rest of the buttons and the menu-options?
I considered that when I added the other shortcuts but rejected it for the following reasons.

'Save As' button: If you look at your average Windows application (e.g. notepad) you'll notice that there are no shortcuts for 'Save As', because it opens another dialog where you must type or click anyway.

'Options' menu: These are not meant to use often and therefore don't need shortcuts. The idea is that once you found your preferred configuration you leave the options alone. Plus with shortcuts someone could accidently change them.

It would be also nice to set the position of the strarfish directly
Have you tried 'shift+F6' and then 'e'?

Well, I finally succeeded in adding Fish Picker to the System Tray. This option is off by default so you'll have to enable it to see any difference from the previous versions. Cool feature: Launch the aquarium from the systray!

Great feature...why not improve it with more option...
in tray when minimise or in taskbar when minimise or both tray and task bar?like Winamp has these kind of options.....
this way is more flexible......
and option for default action if double click the tray icon....either start the aquqrium or restore the picker......
only right click if want to access more option....like quick menu for startfish or say just replicate the whole menu item into right click menu of tray icon....?....

and also....u can add icons in the menu
like the following example...

and the bold words r the default action when double click....
so the user can set their default action either start the aquqrium or restore the picker or even more....by their choice....
and u can display the current select tank name in the tooltip of tray icon instead of "Fish Picker (right-click)"

Guys, guys. Everytime Mountainmaster comes up with a new version of the picker you all go: "Yeahthat'snicebut, couldn't you add these eight or so features also?". I do think Ronald likes the input and appreciation you give him, but perhaps the proportions of it should be changed a bit... I dunno, maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree here?

/Tiny Picking

P.S.
I like the SysTray feature. Very slick!

umm....did I do something wrong here *guilty face*
I just reply with my suggestions...I just want the program become better and better....after all....Mountainmaster did achived 90% of my suggestions if u look back all the post and follow the new versions....I think only the user's feedback could be the source of the improvement of all...and that apply to everything in the world...something need something to be affirmative in order to get into next step....u won't improve ur product if u won't get any positive and negtive feedback from anyone..u'll get sluggish about it and never wanna bother it simple beco zno one care it....
but anyway....maybe I ask too much....sorry Mountainmaster...sorry Tiny Turtle

OK, My previous post sounded a bit harsh and maybe my intentions got a bit lost there. There's no doubt that the picker has improved with every version (with the aid of user input). My point was that whatever MM implemented, there was just a constant expectance for more features. Kinda like when Jim released the 1.1 version with the lionfish. The day after someone posted a question about when the next version was due .

This really isn't my call – MM will probably tell us his opinion and there's no need to feel sorry for me, James – If things get too rough I just hide inside my shell...

Tiny,
Thanks for your concern. Sometimes you just need to slow those guys down, right? But seriously now... I like the user input, so just keep the suggestions coming everyone and from that I'll try to implement whatever I like, whenever I feel like working on it.

James,
No need to apologize to me. Your suggestions have always been valuable, because (like many here) you are both user and software engineer.
both tray and task bar
Sorry, I have to turn you down on that one. I think it would needlessly clutter the taskbar.
if double click the tray icon....either start the aquarium or restore the picker
Yes, gonna look into that.
replicate the whole menu item into right click menu of tray icon
The whole menu seems too much to me, but I shall replicate some of the menu items to the tray icon.
add icons in the menu
I am interested to learn how to do that. But it is not high on my priority list for the picker.
