Yay!!! I'm remembered!!!

BTW, Jim, the Demo of 2.6 looks awesome. I can't believe the MA is 6 years old and still outshines everything else out there. Kudos to you and keep up the awesome work.

... Now if I could just get Prolific off of their butts to answer my email...

I sent them in the e-mail form I submitted to support (http://www.serenescreen.com/support/tech.php) .

Which I still haven't received a response from.

I know why the codes don't work - they're not codes for 2.6. My order numbers don't start with the order # that everyone else said theirs started with (so in other words, a new one wasn't generated for me).

If you'd still like me to PM you my keycodes/order #s, let me know - - but even tho your name says "Prolific" under it, I don't feel warm and fuzzy about that.

Ryan,

Edgar is ok. He does work at Prolific and can take care of things like that. You wouldn't really think I would let someone post here like that who couldn't, do you?

I don't know, even though your name says "Administrator" under it, I wouldn't feel warm and fuzzy about it...

Noticed something weird....

I downloaded and was playing with the demo SS and set it to cycling the clocks, logo, etc...

I noticed that on the logo the background around the crystal remains clean... but when a clock is shown on the crystal you see shadow ripples around the outside of the crystal (on the background of the tank) ...

Is this due to the graphic size of the analog clock, etc?

Thanks...

Check Out My New Screen

I had to change my avitar. Since my last visit, I now am pleased to report that SS2.6 plays well on my Intel iMac. I take the digital signal and feed it via DVI into the HDMI input of my Home Theater projector onto an 80" diagonal screen. I like playing music from iTunes via Toslink into my 6.1 DTS surround sound, while watching all the fish swim to the melody.

Whoa!! That's a pretty impressive tank you have there, schneb.
Sorry I don't know the answer to your question, Bill. Hopefully, someone who does will get back to you.

The ripple effect was not applied on the logos. The texture resolution of the ripple is not fine enough. If the effect was applied in a large area, the effect reveals the fake ripple so we decided to turn it off on the LOGO because we don't have control of the image.

I was a proponent of eliminating the ripple effect on the logo. It took too much away from the overall appearance.

I now have a Viewsonic 22" widescreen monitor and it operates at 1680 X 1050.

What's the correct setting for SS now? Widescreen mode at that resolution or what?

Sorry to rehash an old thread.

Thanks Jim. I noticed if I check the W/S option I get one more fish displayed, but I'm back to the black bars at top and bottom.

I set the the anamorphic factor to 0.9500 and have widescreen checked. There will still be a tiny bit of black on top and bottom but not really noticeable.
