I know, but it would be so nice to have some nice music kick in everytime the MA3 screensaver pops up.

Everyone in my office has these new Samsung notebook computers and the default screensaver is called "imagine digital freedom" and it has this wonderful, very soothing, classical piano music that plays when the screensaver kicks in.

People around my office love the MA2.6 screensaver as long as they don't have to listen to the bubbles, let alone hear Trance I like to listen to

I wouldn't really want to be responsible for choosing what music people would have to listen to while the Aquarium is running. Remember, it's all about Customer Support. If each day just 1 person in 1000 did not like the music I chose, or had a suggestion for which music they'd like me to put in, that's a thousand emails a day to answer, and that's only based on a million copies out there. The goal is not to give anyone any reason to contact us, ever.

You don't have to choose, Jim. The SS defaults with bubble sound on. Just have another check box, next to the "bubbles off" check box, labeled "choose one of my mp3s, and when you click it, a "browse" button appears. Then the user can browse their hard drive for an mp3 of their choice, from their own collection. It can't be as bad as letting someone put their own image on the crystal.

Will the fish be "dancing" to the music? You know it makes sense

JB: I love you guys!

Jim: that will be great, one more feature I'm really looking forward to.

Pat: Thanks for suggesting it!

Cheers,

Wow! We can call the it the "patscarr feature!" You wont regret it Jim. This will be a really great new feature for MA3 that, in my opinion, will become one of the most anticipated, popular, talked about, used, commented on, and so on ...

So why not add another box to browse and play my iTunes files (m4p)?
Or will this drive you crazy?

Never mind - I can run my iTunes and MA apps together.

I believe m4p uses a proprietary decoder to play copy-protected iTunes files.

Anybody with some extra time on their hands: If you could find a public-domain mp3 version of Saint-Saens' "The Aquarium" that I could download, I'd appreciate it.

Are you thinking of having that song as the default? I just listened to it for the first time, and it doesn't really remind me of an aquarium. It sounds like something from Harry Potter actually.
