Re: For your interest about AMD chip & a bug...

I've had 3 different AMD processors now and have never had that problem. A 300, 450 and 1.13... sounds pretty weird. Not going to stop buying them cause some guy had a freak accident with one. Best processors I've ever had. (I also had a 450 Pentium but it was blown away with the AMD)

This bug is very VERY rare and I think can only be found on like less than 1% of the old AMD K6-2 chips anyway.

Aquarium and JPEGs display perfectly on my 1.2 GHz Thunderbird.

I won't be going back to Intel for a long time I think. Not until they stop making mistakes like the Pentium 4 and RAMBUS.

Re: For your interest about AMD chip & a bug...

Hey guys I'm using AMD Athlon (classic 600 MHz), too... and now upgrading to TB 1G soon (waiting for Sis 735 mobo, who has the most recent update about this mobo please tell me).

I have never thought of *ntel crapped-design CPU at all.

^_^

The document mentions that it's not a real bug but "just an error during the bug testing", meaning that it may not be any bug at all !!!

However, the document told that the bug will appear in some unsupported speed, like what o/c'er done, or "some rarely reported"...

It's the information.... I didn't post any opinion about this, right ???

Not chastising you for posting it, just reporting my experience with it.

I'm running my 1.2 at 1.2. With proper cooling, I could probably run at 1.5 or more. After a 450 Celeron, 1.2 is quite nice thanks
