Jerky Movements

When the MA2 comes on as a screensaver the fish movements are jerky and halted. If I run it from the display properties / screensaver tab preview button it runs fine.

geforce 2 mx/mx 400
driver 43.45
win xp home
1.3ghz
384 mb ram

I have also tried the 53.03 drivers with the same result.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

This is generally caused by another task robbing the Aquarium of clock cycles. When it is run as an application, the Aquarium has Normal priority, but as a screensaver it has Idle priority. This means that it only gets the CPU's attention when all other tasks relinquish it.

Try killing some of the other things running in the taskbar.
