Aqua V - yet another 3D aquarium screensaver...

Still no where near as good as Jim's, but here's the link for those of you that might be interested. All I can say is the fish animation is really weird in this one.

Kinda tackey in my opinion. I prefer the realism and attention to detail that Jim has put into his aquarium.

I do like the fact that you can see the underside of the water's surface. I never really noticed that there wasn't a top to Jim's until it came up in an earlier post. I don't think anyone's ever requested it, either. But I'm sure if Jim put his mind to it, he would be able to pull it off much better than the Aqua V.

Tried the Aqua V for a full 10 min, already uninstalled it.

Too Aesthetic For My Taste

I can't wait for the new one Jim is working on!
When that one comes out, then we shall see what realism in an Aquarium is all about.
The program was definintly a good attempt but as usual, no where near the quality of the product Jim has continually presented to all of us.

GO JIM!!

sure it is weird, after all, its fish r just twist and wiggle the bmp og the fish, despite that, I like the camera paning feature, by presssing key 1 ~0 and the arrorw key and the space bar.
the rest of feature? NA.......

That's usually how it is. These other guys develop a product rich with features that everyone wants, but then they drop the ball when it comes to the one thing that really counts, the fish.

Even though Jim's aquarium has no where near the number of features that these other programs have, it's his fish and artwork that makes him stand out in the crowd. You may be able to get away with limited features in a 3D screensaver, but you can't be cheap when it comes to the art and animation and that's why people keep coming back to Jim's. Thankfully though, Jim's list of features is slowly growing over time.
