G4's with ATI Video card - fix

Wow what a Great Screensaver! I love it!

When first installed it, it was incredibly slow, so I did some poking around, and found what I think might be the problem...

The ATI Rage Pro Video Card used on some/many G4 MACs is incorrectly labeled ATY in the ROM

So OSX doesnt recognize the Hardware acceleration available on those cards, but ATI has a new driver out that works... It's here: http://www.ati.com/support/products/...sxdrivers.html

It's ment for OSX 10.2.4 but it works on 10.2.6

After I installed and restarted the fish were swimming around smoothly on my G4 400 Mhz. Wow, my real fish are jealous. Maybe in future versions, the corals will be animated too? Xenia, or anemone for the clowns!

Thanks for the info. I tried it hoping that it would fix the 'Jaggies' but no. Hoping that Panther will! I still love MA though!
