Wide screen version problems

I am unable to get the wide screen version to open. I get the following from wondows xp pro each time.
"Aquarium_wide.scr has encountered a problem and needs to close."

The data report on this problem says this:
Error signature AppName: aquarium_wide.scr AppVer: 0.0.0 ModName: aqaurium_wide.scr ModVer:
0.0.0 Offset: 0000d234."

I've done all the obvious and have tried the clear registry thing (through Auden at serenescreen tech support). We are down to suggesting its a driver issue. I think it may be the 16:10 aspect ratio of my lcd (samsung 240T)

Any comments suggestions would be welcomed.

My system.
Dell precision 420 work station intel p3 1000/256/133/slot 1/secc2
1 gig rdram
vision tek geforce 4 ti4600 with the latest nvidea drivers
running the samssung at 1920x1200 @60 hz (native res) with DVI input, 16-bit color

TIA Peter

You are using the latest 1.1.6 widescreen version, right? If not, e-mail me at feldon@feldoncentral.com.

Looks like 16:10 Monitors

Wide version 16:9 does not appear to work on lcds monitors that are 16:10...can't you stretch the code one more inch....

try using one of the fixed resolutions rather than the use desktop resolution.

I had this problem and it appeared to be because the desktop resolution wasn't one of the 'standard' ones
