Slow Motion

I have a G3 B+W 300MZ with OS X.3
I have Marine Aquaium 2 and it moves at what seems like 1 frame at a time. Too slow! Any ideas? Thanks! -JIM-

Your computer does not have any 3D graphics accelerator of any kind.

How do you know that, Morgan? There are PCI 3D cards for the Mac (like the Radeon 9200 PCI).

It sounds like we aren't able to use OpenGL hardware acceleration and are using the software renderer (slow) instead. Could be a problem with your graphics card (which one do you have? How much VRAM?) or a driver issue.

From the MA 2 system requirements:
VIDEO: OpenGL accelerated drivers with 8MB VRAM (16MB VRAM for larger than 1024x768) 640x480 color display with 16-bit color or better.

What video resolution and color depth are you using?

Go to "About This Mac" in the Apple menu. Click on "More Info" in the window which comes up. A window will come up which says "System Profile". Under the hardware heading, click on PCI/AGP Cards. Look in the "Type" column in the middle/right and click on the "display" line. Descriptive text will appear in the lower middle/right. Copy this text out and paste it into the message here. However, it sounds like your hardware falls below the recommended minimums.
