Maybe one of the new fishes will be a cuttlefish?

Encore? Who, what, where, why, when, and how are they?

Jim's publisher/distributor for like... the last 3 years.

Prolific is now his marketer/agent.

Prolific is the on-line publisher: maintaining the SereneScreen Website, processing on-line orders, writing the code for interface updates and handling all customer-service.

Encore is the hard-copy publisher: manufacturing the disks and boxes, distributing the product, and convincing store chains to carry it.

I get such a tiny percentage from the hard-copy version that I've never really paid any attention to what Encore wanted, but this time they're only asking for a couple of fish to tide them over for the Xmas season. Since the 3.0 version is at a standstill until Will Ware gets a handle on shaders, I figured now would be a good time to introduce a couple more fish. I can always use them in the 3D version anyway.

Doc - the Bangai Cardinal has a shape that's really quite different from my tradional fish model. While I'm not totally ruling it out, it would be much harder to implement.

Minn - a cuttle fish is a mollusc, and would be extremely hard to create. It'll have to wait for the Creature Packs.

Jim, I already have a hard time finding all your fish while I'm diving... Do you really need to add more?!? I'm almost done, just missing Yellow tang, Powder Blue tang, Flame Angel, Regal tang, Blue ring Angelfish and Squarespot Anthias.

OK, honestly... nice to hear that you'll add something new, I look forward to it. When I first bought the aquarium I thought the Picasso trigger was ugly, until I saw it while diving... It's been in my aquarium since then.

I wonder though if there's more than 1 kind of Queen Angel. This one looks a lot different from yours:

The one Jim uses is a juvenile, that one you show is an adult. Some marine fish change dramatically between the two. Maybe you have already seen all of Jim's fish in the ocean and didn't know it YK.

Hehe! I know some of them changes a lot, like Emperor Angel.
I haven't been in all oceans, but my honeymoon trip is heading for Indonesia. Hopefully I'll catch the Flame Angel there, and the most beautiful fish: Mandarin Goby (Yes, Jim, that was a hint...)

The current aquarium seems to lack any Parrotfish and Wrasses, but I guess it would be easier to add another butterfly or angelfish as many are shaped almost the same.

The Mandarin Goby will have to wait for the 3D background, as it spends a lot of time sitting on the bottom of the tank. Currently, I can't let any fish get more than a couple inches from the bottom because they have no shadows.

Jim, how about something fun? A poll perhaps? You give us a list of 5-10 fish or so, whichever ones you like from the wishlist, and we here on the forum can vote for our top 3. Maybe?

I'm open to suggestions. Morgan sent some pics of the Achilles Tang, but resource material is very sparse on that species. I'm still going to try and do it, but it will be harder than I had hoped.

Omigod! The fish have no shadows!? Are these...like...vampire fish!? I knew it; I just knew it! That's why they've been sucking up so much of my time watching them!

lol.... shhhh..., congratulations yodelking.
You know, breakfast in bed sounds like a great way to wake up the next day. Where are you going to honeymoon? Did you say Indonesia in another post? Nice selections. Now back to bed...

edit - clint - check for reflections... vampires not suppose to have reflections so if you can't find the fishes' reflection on your screen, then you might have something there...

Yodelking - You got married last night, and now you're HERE? Wow, priorities must be very different in Sweden

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions. The second one (Masked Butterflyfish) is also known as the Addis Butterflyfish, and we've already got that one in the tank. The others are good possibilities, but I need more source photos - or to see one in real life.

Yep, Sulawesi in Indonesia for 2 weeks of diving.
Will surely be a lovely trip for me and my wife... (yes, she's a diver too)

While we're a bit offtopic, I'll post an URL to some of the photos my friend took yesterday, I hope noone minds.
