Windows 2000 SP3 RC 3.151 Released

Microsoft has just released a new version of its Service Pack 3 for Windows 2000. No major changes have been reported in this build. Here is the e-mail that was sent out to the beta testers:

"Dear Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 Beta Tester,

Thank you for all your help in testing Windows 2000 Service Pack 3. We are getting very close to our final build and would appreciate it if you could download and test our current release candidate, build 3.151 without delay.

Since we are so close to the end of this product cycle, we will need your feedback in the newsgroup right away. Please submit bug reports for any issues you may encounter. Your responsive feedback will assist us in releasing a high quality Service Pack."

Everybody to their own...

Then again, not sure it makes that much differance with a release as late as this. If any of Micro$oft's products were perfect in the first place, straight off the bat, then we wouldn't need these service packs at all

We all run dodgy software... sometimes we're just not that aware of it...
