ATI Radeon 9200SE Video card Problems

When I first got Marine Aquarium 2 the only problem I had was that the bubbles froze. Updating my drivers cured that.
Recently I started getting a flickering effect only when this screensaver was running, so I updated the drivers and it stopped - but, guess what? The bubbles froze again! So, once again, I rolled back the drivers and strangely everything is now working!
During all this I tried various settings for the refresh rate and it had no effect.
My screen resolution settings are 1024X768 at 32bit.. and I have since updated MA to v2.01.
Anyone else had this problem? (It still flickers but now about once a minute.)
