2.5 fps?

Can only get 2.5 to 3 fps. Tried all suggestions in support area. Video driver up to date. ATI Mobility card in a 1G Thinkpad w/ 1G RAM running win2000. Task Mgr shows no programs running in background and only 8-10% CPU usage. What "processes" could be running that would cause the low fps? Have run Ad-aware and Spybot, etc. Aquarium ran smoothly up until about a week ago. No new programs installed during that time. Scratching my head.....Please help.

Hit "s" to display the statistics. Is the system using its hardware (HAL) or is it using RGB emulation?

Set the graphics to 800 x 600 16-bit color.

Make sure Microsoft NetMeeting is not running.

Close any 3D applications like 3D Studio Max, AutoCAD, etc.

RGB emulation, VSyncCLAMP, N808.2.0.6418.
No 3D apps running. 800x600, 16 bit only increases fps to 6-7.

When you run other Direct3D applications, do they use the hardware? Run DXDIAG.exe, click the "Display" tab, and make sure that DirectDraw and Direct3D are enabled. Then click the "Test Direct3D" button and make sure the 3D hardware is working OK.

NetMeeting prevents all DirectX applications from having access to the hardware and it turns on file sharing for all your hard drives.

What were they thinking?

World Domination?
Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.

Nope. I meant they were only thinking of World domination when they should've been thinking of NetMeeting...
