Wow. Less than 24 hour repsonse time from customer support about my 'missing' beta-to-v1.1 key code.

The Lionfish looks great!

Thanks,
Paul

Thumbs Down

After getting my second key code, everything is working great. The lionfish was well worth the wait. I also like the new blue background. As both a tropical and saltwater hobbyist, I appreciate the realism your program has. Great job Jim and I tell all of my friends about your Aquarium.

Thumbs Down AWESOME screensaver

Everyone that walks past my PC is AMAZED when they see the SereneScreenSaver (say that 3 times real fast ). I've heard stuff like "...oh my GAWD that looks so REAL!" I've turned on lots of friends to this jewel of a program.

THANKS JIM!

Don't forget to press W to show them wireframe, or press LEFT and RIGHT arrows to adjust the lighting.

Amazing how many people think it's a quicktime movie or something until you do that.

Jim, version 1.1 is a masterpiece. The Lionfish looks great, and his movements are very graceful. Great work Jim! Like a new gift, it refreshes the smile that this screensaver brings to my face.

Thumbs Down COOL

Way Cool!! I had a little bit of a problem doing the upgrade as well.....same as others on here...didn't get new code, had to request it, then it said code not valid, etc....but I kept on working at it and I FINALLY HAVE IT! Man, this is very, very cool! Congrats to Jim & everyone else that had a hand in making this upgrade become reality!

WELL WORTH THE WAIT!! I'd say!

Thanks again!
Aloha,
Gerty

Angry Yippee!

Okay, now I'm happy.

Jim, you rock!

Asprague, thanks for the pointer on continuing beyond it not recognizing my old email address. I entered my old key in the beta key field and had my new key mailed to me.

The tank is very nice. I'm consistently getting 75fps on my GeForce 2 ti 64mb card.

Way to go!

Well that was well worth the wait - many thanks for making the best screensaver even better - superb ! It's a pity people are getting picky on the Lionfish thread though - people just really don't know when they have got something good do they ?!

Jim,
I am SO glad you waited until everything was right. The lionfish is incredible, same with the new starfish behavior (saving position). I got my notification a little late, so I've avoided all of the key-code hassles. It worked perfectly first time out. Many thanks for a great simulation.

Smile sweeeeeet!

I also had initial problems with my keycode, but Prolific took care of me and now I'm GOLDEN!

Got Version 1.1 loaded up at home and at work, and it's looking very nice indeed. The lionfish is absolutely the best fish yet, nicely detailed and animated with their characteristic slow, graceful motions. The blue background was a great idea and quite unexpected...I love the look it gives the aquarium. I like to turn it way down and get that deep sea look...kind of like the "Outer Bay" exhibit at the Monterey Bay Aquarium (Northern California folks will know what I'm talking about).

It's cool to see my coworker's reactions when I turn this on at work...everyone is very impressed to say the least.

Nicely done Jim!

Big Grin patiently waiting

The same ol' story here: early beta tester, haven't received 1.1 codes, website couldn't find my e-mail, the beta code upgrade page reports mismatch between name and code (as entered from original registration), sent original registration info to service@, etc.

My sympathies to the customer support folks at Prolific. This is the type of roll-out that nightmares are made of. Too bad the web-based code upgrade still isn't working completely.

The pictures of the lionfish sure looks good though...

Big Grin Dave Lo

Same story here. I have tried every method to get the keycode on this site and on serenescreen.com. First my name wasn't recognized, now I actually got an automated email from registration@serenescreen.com, but it says: "Keycode: " and there IS NO KEYCODE after it. Weird. The bottom of the email says: "Should you have any technical difficulties, please refer to the support section of " and JUST STOPS right there. Double weird.

Jim, you do beautiful work. Can't wait to see the lionfish.

It is a thing of beauty you have there Mr. Sachs.

Jroztan - You've reached the limit of your card's video ram. Turn off the bubbles.
