help!

Hello all, I purchased Marine 3 in March. When new things are added to this beautiful aquarium, how do I implement them? I miss the moving starfish and nighttime silhouettes of the fish I had on the test run before I purchased. I am not computer savvy, so need a very patient person to walk me through all this. Frankly, I'd rather have the older version I enjoyed, (before I purchased) than this one that pans back and forth, although it is quite spectacular too!

Hello bech75,

I believe you made a wise purchase with Marine Aquarium 3 (MA3) and since this is a "masterpiece" in progress - you will be able to receive updates of additions as they are created and released.

Refer to this link for more information regarding updates: Post 113419
Keeping that information in mind: Install the new version to the same place where the pryor version is (was) located - no need to uninstall anything!

I also miss the noticable movement of the Starfish and I inquired about it on this forum (1-27-09) and received this response from SereneScreen Aquarium Creator Jim Sachs:
"The starfish will eventually be able to go on the glass, but it won't be speeded up. It's already twice as fast as a real starfish".

It is possible to drastically change the background colors, but not being
(as you state) "computer savy", perhaps it would be best to just stick with holding down the F1 - F4 keys for a background light change.
For future reference regarding this: Thread 4881

To speed up the panning back and forth, hold down the right &/or left
arrow keys. If you wish for the panning to stop completely, simply press the "P" key.

Refer here: Thread 4819 for information about how to add tunes.

Push the "W" key for the "WireFrame" effect.
Push the "C" key to toggle different clock formats and push "L" for
the "Serene Screen Marine Aquarium 3" logo to appear on the crystal.

To add your own Logo, start here: Post 110739

I hope this helps answer some of your concerns bech75.

Welcome aboard and have a beautiful day

Sorry for such a long Post folks...

She means what do you do for a living, are you in some kind of advisory position?

Hmmm - not currently in an "advisory position" per se - however, that does sound intriguing...

No confusion necessary Ralph, I believe the United States was founded on Christian Fundamentals and since the Good Lord has Blessed me in this life - I would like for everyone to be as Blessed.

Realizing that this forum pertains to the ongoing development of an awesome piece of simulation software, and not about Theology, I try my best to keep my own point of view about that subject to myself here.

As I have witnessed, this forum is regularly contributed to by very well meaning, respectable and intelligent folks, and it is an honor for me to be allowed to participate.

My "signature" at the end of my Posts is just my way of hoping that everyone will be as Blessed as I have been.
