Angry Other SereneScreens

Mr. Sachs, would you be interested in doing other more “simple” (comparatively) SereneScreens, such as a fireplace; a field with a small breeze; beach with ocean waves; small brook; etc. Or if anyone knows of any good screensaver like these, feel free to post a link. I know about the other SereneScreens supposed to be coming out in the future, but I just thought I’d ask about ones that might be a bit more simple to do (well, compared to the living creatures). I don’t know, I’m just thinking out loud.

The 4 SereneScreen programs that I have planned have been discussed here quite a few times. I wouldn't have time to do any others, but Prolific is planning a "HYper-Real" series which will include many of the ideas you mention.

Hmmm…. Very nice. This is good to hear. A nice tranquil screensaver is hard to find. I’ve found a fireplace one before, but the detail was very low, and so it didn’t stay on my computer for long. Also, the XP Plus! comes with a stream and falling leaves, but there’s not much visuals with it, so I never use it. Do you happen to know when this "HYper-Real" series might happen? I just hope the quality and detail will be somewhat near the quality of yours.

Well, it's not a screensaver, but gtRipple can turn a wallpaper picture into a lake scene. It's free and very nice and tranquil.

Jim -

Do you have a rough timetable for what you hope to accomplish with your future screen savers? I'm not trying to push you or anything. Just curious if you have started to lay the foundations for them or if you plan to completely finish the fish before starting the new projects.

I have so many customers that have fallen in love with the Aquarium. When I tell them you are going to do more programs along the same lines, they flip out and always ask me when to expect early versions.

Thanks in advance!

I'm still hoping to do about one per year.
