Crystal Checkbox Beta 7c

Jim,

If I open the screen saver settings window from the "Settings" button in Windows Vista (see attached screenshot) I get an error whenever I check or uncheck "Show Crystal" in the settings window. I receive a: "Marine Aquarium beta 7 has stopped working" message whenever I click the checkbox.

However if I first start the screen saver running and then hit the space bar to bring up settings the "Show Crystal" checkbox works perfectly.

I don't think it will matter, but I'm on Windows Vista 64bit.

A similar thing is happening here. - After I 'Install' MA3, and then go to: Display Properties/Screen Saver/SSMA3/Settings, - the Show Crystal check box does not work. - I don't get an error message, it just doesn't work, - and the Program Setting panel disappears! - (Without changing the check box state).

The Show Crystal check box from within MA3, (by pressing the Spacebar), still works as normal.

.... I'm using Win2k SP4.

I had never actually tried it from the Display Properties sheet. I'll look into it.

Try Beta7d. I was unable to duplicate this bug on any of my machines, but I only have Vista Home, not Vista Pro. Anyway, I changed some coding around, and the bug might be fixed.

Success! - bug fixed with Win2kPro. - It also now shows, (or not!), in the miniature scene on the Screen Saver panel!

Fixed!

Jim,

Yep, you quashed it! Vista 64 and no error at all.

Thanks,

Justin
