FINALLY, something new that we can sink our teeth into. I have been an aquarium user since 2000 (back in the 0.99 versions with single digit number of fish) and finally have registered on here to more actively participate. I have lurked around here reading like the rest of you guys and recognize all of you.

I have a degree in marine biology and have been amazed at the whole creation process that the aquarium has gone through. Looking forward to the new stuff.
Alright Scotty, now beam back my clothes.

Hi there, Ziphid. Welcome out of the lurking shadows!
You into all whales or just beaked ones?

Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.

"We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent.
I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says,
'Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.'
I suppose we all thought that, one way or another.

Well, we could release it last night and 80% of the time, your monitor would click 10-15 times before the Aquarium starts. Or this can be looked at, pushing the release back 1-2 days.

Prolific made the mistake of following the DirectX and Microsoft user manuals on how to write DirectX programs. *GRR!*

They were striving for it last night, but I brought up the monitor relay clicking and that the Z-Buffer hack they put in is not perfect. So it's really my fault.

Great, nice to have some more people on the forum that know their fish. That was actually going to be my major many many moons ago, but I got side tracked and ended up developing video games instead. What was I thinking???

Anyway, welcome aboard!

Hmmmm, I'm wondering how much it would cost me to bribe Jav to shave Morgan's head while he's asleep.
Or better yet, shave his head and drop him off at Lackland AFB and tell the SPs that he was trying to go AWOL. heh heh

I didn't squash any bugs, just some grapes.

{EDIT: Please see MA2 Announcement Thread!}

Microsoft routinely e-mails code to Prolific/SereneScreen that does not work and/or bombs their computers. I think Prolific has filed about 200 bug reports in DirectX and very few have been addressed in DX9.

If any software from Microsoft screams to be open-source or shared-source, it is DirectX. They have their $100 billion. Why do they need to keep DirectX a secret, something that they do not get significant revenue from?
