Yes - two different titles, two different products, two different boxes to get into any of the major retail chains.

Ix, we know you're anxious, but do we really want Mr. Sachs to whip up something half-good just to get it out on the market? I don't and (IMHO) doesn't sound like his modus operandi.

Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.

I'm sure that Jim will do his usual thourough job. He can use the basis of the present aquarium for a start, so that should knock off many of the delays and headaches that he had to endure when he started from scratch with this one.

We will take whatever Jim decides on but I was really looking forward to the 3D background. Am I understanding things correctly? Jim is now working on the freshwater aquarium ? That is the drift that I am picking up from the forum..Thank you

Actually, I think it will be about like everything else. He usually is working on several things at once from different directions. My best guess is that he will use the basics of the current aquarium, and replace and reshape some items, and replace the textures with freshwater ones. It won't be a total start from scratch type of deal. With what he already has done, reshaping and replacing should take far less time than the original.

I know that he has some of the 3D background already planned out and accomplished. But please, don't take this as saying that it is right around the corner. I would suppose that even using the current basics there will be some delays with the freshwater tank, at which time he could work on the 3D background. But remember that he is only one man, and is working as hard as he can.

Tiny how said that he will make something half-finished? His work always has been high quality so I don't see that problem.

To me this indicates that you want Jim to rush when it comes to the freshwater aquarium. I mean, he's not sitting on "other things" waiting for the proper time to release them. When something is done. It's made available.

Also, note the difference between "who" and "how" in further posts. That one had me puzzled for a while.

The 3D backgroud isn't available yet. (Hence the title of this thread - "What are you most looking forward to?") Hopefully, after the freshwater version is released - we'll start to see some news about the 3D background.

Rex,

Jim was starting to work on the 3D background sometiime ago when he ran into a snag and found out that alot of major retail chains will not carry your product unless you have at least 2 titles to offer. So the plans had to be changed and the freshwater aquarium was the quickest thing to be able to adapt using some of the things he conquered producing the saltwater version. So, at this point, the new background had to be put on hold.....

Speaking of marketing through stores, I bought mine in a store. There were two items there; one was a CD in a jewel case and one was a boxed set. I asked the folks at the store what the difference was and they could not tell me.

One is more environmentally friendly, but less ornamentally useful (if you like displaying box art).
