I've set up 8 people in our office with dual monitors, that's more than half of all our computers.
A question about the dual monitor aquarium... When a fish swims off one screen and onto the other will it move over as soon as it hits the edge? Or will it disappear off one screen first and them swim on to the other one once it is no longer on the first? I'm trying to imagine what would look more natural and I'm thinking it would look best if it was off the screen completely before it started to appear on the next one... This would probably be harder to program though, right? What do you think?

That's not exactly what I was asking, but thanks for the pointer anyway.

I'm in the process of building a HTPC (or HCPC here in the UK) and have it connected to a 42" plasma. I have installed all three versions of SS, the widescreen, version 2 and time. I certainly like the look of the widescreen one the best, but I also like the clock in the time version. There was talk in this thread of a single version that will do multi-monitor and widescreen, but will there be a version that does widescreen with clock?
Yesterday I had the aquarium running with bubbles sound and was playing music on the PC too. All sound was travelling through the digital out to my AV surround system. It was a fantastic experience with incredible graphics, music and underlying bubble sound ![]() Edit: that'll teach me to read before posting, I see that there is a '4-in-1' version planned ![]() |

Solar,
Yep, you answered your own question. It will probably be some "time" away though. ![]()

I have the normal screen version now. I just got a widescreen monitor. So, where can I get an upgrade of a widescreen version? Thanks.

Thanks. Can I use my existing key for this? Or do I need to buy a new one? If so, where?
Thanks again. |

The widescreen version (*) will “ALWAYS” be free to anyone that owns the same version and product. So the Widescreen screen version of MA 1.1. is free (works with the same Keycode).
In the near future, we are going to change this to the HD version (High Def). It will include high-res versions of the art (could be a LOT bigger). Multi-monitor support Widescreen, and letterbox modes. We are separating this out so that the majority of people (who run one monitor at 1Kx768) can download the product quickly. For those of us that have multiple monitors, or run at high-res, or have a widescreen or plasma display, we can download the big file (could be 10 megs or more). But this will always be free.

Here's a nice pic of the widescreen version running on my 51 inch HTPC. For perspective, I put a CD on top of the TV (monitor?)
I'm running this at 1280x720 and it's smooth as silk (500Mhz PC w/Geforce2). If you've not seen the widescreen, notice how the bubble column is on the right, and there's a few extra clams/rocks in the middle. Most importantly, notice how the fish are still at the correct perspective. When I run MA_Time (whatever it's called) or MA2 on a 16:9 ratio screen - everything looks a little squished. ....can't wait for all the goodies mentioned above. ![]() |

Sorry so late to this thread, but just found out about the new 2.0 release. :-) As a long time happy user, naturally my email address, which hasn't changed, is not recognized. :-( But I realize it will be a couple of days before they can respond to my plea for help. I can live with that. :-)
What I'm trying to figure out is whether the new 2.x version will run on my dual monitor setup... I have a 21" CRT and a 20" LCD at home, both running at 1600x1200 on a Ti4200 card. CRT is standard vga cable, LCD uses DVI. Should I get ahold of the 1.1 widescreen version and use that, and hold off on the 2.x upgrade, or will the new version do what I want? Thanks again for a great product regardless! -Kalani |
