Compatibility with TightVNC
I am running MA on a machine with a VNC server (TightVNC). When I connect to the machine with VNC (while MA is active), I first see the MA screensaver, the desktop starts to appear, and then the VNC connection drops. Reconnecting to the machine is successful (MA not active).
Anyone know why the initial VNC connection drops? Anyone seen this, or have an idea what may be causing it? Thanks, Leah |

Possibly a change in video mode after MA closes causes the disconnects.

Yes, if the VNC server detects a video resolution change, it will disconnect you.
If you run MA in "Default system resolution" mode, you should be OK.

That worked! I had to set it to 32-bit Default System Resolution mode; 16-bit still caused the VNC disconnect.
Thanks. |

Just 1 frame, which replicates the server desktop. I am using TightVNC for both client and server.

I think memilm meant "how many frames per second" do you get running MA via VNC. I think the answer will be in seconds per frame

Doh! I should have known what memilm meant!
Slow, it's more like seconds per frame -- about 2. |
