Locking up

Windows ME
GeForce 4 Ti 4600
29.42 Nvidia drivers

Locking up when I press spacebar to register. Any help is appreciated here.

I guess I am going to have to set a policy of no images in signatures.

Anyway. I don't know why it would lock up specifically, but the recommended driver on the hlep page seems to be 27.50 https://www.feldoncentral.com/Sachs/help.html

Have you tried some other drivers?

Have you installed any and all Windows Update items related to the file system and the graphics system?

Have you tried reinstalling the latest DirectX version?

Have you tried double checking your sound drivers?

Anyway. All those things are pretty generic, but got to exhaust the simple things first.

Heard some problems with those 29.42s. You can get 30.xx at www.nVidia.com now.

Just stay away (for now) from the Detonator 40.41 released last Thursday (thats the 29th of August). Although some users report an increase in fps/points/whatever, there's still lots of problems
