Cool Flags of North America..KeyCode again?

Hi All..I had to reinstall my KeyCode for the program again. Anyone know why it would do this? I did not remove or replace the program or change anything. Has anyone else had to do this?..Thanks..Keithmj

I had to do this with Marine Aquarium 2.6 also?

No, but maybe it wanted to double-check it?

Having to enter the keycodes again usually means the keycode is not a valid keycode.
If it is a valid keycode then something is clearing the registry settings.

Sorry, I did not noticed that question 2 years ago.
I just noticed someone else answered and assume it was a recent question.
I still think that if it asks for the keycode around every two weeks, then the keycode is bad. If the keycode is valid then some other program is modifying the registry.

That seems very suspicious. Someone answers a two year old question, then the person who asked the question just happens to check the forum today. Coincidence? I don't think so.

I guess you don't use the "notify me by email on answers" feature much, Pat?

I also had this happen today. I had to format my C: partition, and then did a
perfect restore, but when the SS was tried later, it asked for a key again.
It seems it may references the disk volumes serial number after you
enter your key. So if you format yer disk, you must re-enter the key, even
if you have the disk mirrored perfectly, I think.

The Aquarium doesn't do anything like that. It just checks the registry.

That's what I thought too, but when merging all the previous saved keys (.reg) put the old keys where they were, it still would bring up the enter
key dialog after the reformat. Plus the file sys was perfect mirror copy.
Even an exact copy of the registry restored with AISBackup didn't help.

Hi All..I never did get it figured out as it just quit acting up. I don't use them that much anyway but don't have any problems since I did the post here. I wonder when they are coming out with something new? But it might help if I checked out their website while I am here to see what has been added in the last two years..Cheers..Keithmj
