Problem with MA2
I just installed MA2 but it runs very slow on my computer (about 5-6 fps). I've already checked the FAQ to this topic, but I found nothing.
![]() Can anybody help me? My system configuration: Intel P4 1800, NVidia GeForce3 Ti200, WindowsXP Home. |

So you're currently running DX9.0b with the ForceWare 53.03 drivers with WinXP home and it's still running at 5-6 FPS? Does is say RGB emulation at the top of the screen when you check the framerate? If not, are they're any texture corruption problems or other oddities? Lastly, try the Goldfish aquarium demo from LifeGlobe, does it work?

Please close any applications like 3D Studio Max, Microsoft NetMeeting, PCAnywhere, HomePC, etc. Try to close all background programs if you can.

If it says RGB emulation then you are doinf pure software 3d rendering in that application.
MEaning it's ignoring your 3d card. What kind of motherboard do you have? Have you installed all the system device drivers? Do other 3d programs run smoothly or at all? Try going to start:run:dxdiag (enter) and running the tests under display.

I've got a "Asus P4B266"-Motherboard. All other 3D applications run fine.

OK, I've already found a solution. Somehow, my DirectDraw-Support and Direct3D-Support were disabled.
