Keycode lost after several days
Has anyone else had this problem? I have the SS on my work machine and my coworkers love it.
Every once in a while when I try and turn my SS off I get the "thank you for trying MA2, You can own this now only $19.95" message. If I enter my keycode again it works fine, but I have to keep putting it in every few days. This gets annoying. Is this setting getting lost somehow? Is there a setting on my machine that is making this happen? Please help. J |

Are you on a Mac or a PC?

I think you are entering a bad keycode. Make sure you cut and paste it from the email.

Sure you aren't using any programs which monitor the Registry and do daily or frequent "cleanups" like Symantec GoBack?

I suggest you contact Tech Support so that they can verify that you did get a valid keycode.

Thanks will do.
I will also check for programs that may restore registry settings or clean up things. Any known cases of this? Certain programs to look for? The only thing I know that runs every night is NAV. J |

Have to say this is the first I've heard of this.
Also, I had no idea that the Aquarium now had bad keycode "fooling" ability. This is a great feature to keep out the pirates.

Our Tech Support also said this:
"We've seen this before. A reisntall of the program with the antivirus and other security filters usually solves the problem." So try this too. |

I mustn't knock it though, I have just down loaded a new v3.21 GoBack update that appears to solve a few incompatibility problems I was having with Removable Discs, (actually, memory card readers). If anyone is using GoBack, and has lost access to any discs or drives, this new update seems to be working .... so far! This problem only applied to 2000, not 98SE, even though the original GoBack version stated it was for 2000! Also, this only came to light when I installed one of these new 6 in 1 readers, together with the 2000 drivers. Previously, GoBack had been working fine! |
