I don't think I've ever seen a turtle is a saltwater tank, but if you know of a species that would be suitable, I'll consider it.

Oh, that wishlist keeps on growing...
Since all seven species of sea turtle are considered "endangered" with the exception of the loggerhead (Caretta caretta) which is listed as "threatened", one isn't allowed to keep them in an private aquarium. Perhaps Jim could put in a young turtle as there are other parameters that already would render the aquarium a bit impossible (i.e. triggers and damsels would mess with other fish, and in the near future the lionfish which would gobble up the smaller inhabitants of the tank).
Sea turtles grow quite large (The Leatherback record weight is 2012 lbs) but this could easily be compensated with a younger specimen. If Mr. Sachs would consider it, given the mentioned problems, I'd say that the Green turtle (Chelonia mydas) is the most "typical" sea turtle and would be a suitable choice for the tank. I also would love to see a baby turtle put into to the tank someday. This could help people see just how pretty they are and it could make them more aware of the more endangered species. that we have in our oceans.
![]() Jim, Keep up the great work and we still want the lion fish. |

I agree also. A sea turtle might be a great addition to the aquarium. Here is a link and some info about the one Tiny mentioned. Chelonia Mydas <a
Just Some Guy A Zebra Moray Eel has already been confirmed to be added at a later date. But, we will need the new background with caves and overhangs for him to have a place to go. ![]() Mac A new version of the 1.1 Beta is being pre-tested now before release, with some bug repairs included. Hopefully it will be available soon. ![]()

I vote "yes" on the baby sea turtle idea. Hopefully it could be in the first bundle of special creatures package that we will have to pay for. I know it's way down the road, but since we will have to pay for it, and democracy IS what America is all about

I agree!!! A turtle would be a great pet to have in the aquarium! I have seen some really cool sea turtles living here on Kauai and if I can find a pic of one of them, I'll attach it here for all of you to see. Gotta do some searching, though, cause I've got a ton of pics!!!
Thank you Jim for all your hard work!!!! Aloha, Gerty ![]() |
