I keep getting crashes
Hello, I am new here so please forgive me if I have posted this in the wrong place.
I have XP Pro. Never had a crash till I installed this program today. I have now crashed 5 times. I love this screensaver and dont want to loose it but...... My video driver is up to date, its an Xpert 128. Any ideas what I can try? LittleOne |

What kind of crashes? What are the exact indications?

Crash
The computer shuts down by itself and restarts, goes through error checks and everything is fine til I restart SereneScreen.
Ive certainly never seen anything like this before so I am unsure what exactly I need to do. LittleOne |

It all comes down to the ATI card. We're going to have to look at putting different drivers, etc. for it. Hrmm.

Ok, I really dont want to uninstall this so how do I keep it from coming on as the screensaver. Maybe some day I will be able to get a different video card. Not anytime soon though. Sigh

Go to the control panel and choose display, or right click the desktop and choose properties.
Select the screen saver tab. Choose a different screen saver and click OK. This will keep it from launching as the screen saver, but it sounds like you have some nasty driver issue that is likely to come up again in some other place.

I can do that.
Now a new problem for you. As I am typing this I can still hear the bubbles. This is getting more strange by the minute. LittleOne |

If you still hear the bubbles, then the Aquarium is still running. Is there a box for it down on the taskbar? If so, then click on it to bring up the Aquarium screen, then hit ESC to exit.
If it is not in the taskbar, hit ctrl-alt-del and end it from the list of running tasks. Your crashing problem might be related to a second instance of the Aquarium trying to come up when it is already running.

Yes it was in the taskbar but clicking on it would not bring it up. How would I go about keeping it from trying to come up when it is already running?

Here's an odd one I've encountered several times.
I leave the computer sitting idle. I return and my latest application is still displayed (no screen saver). I attempt to switch applications (Alt+Tab). Nothing happens. I go to my task bar and switch tasks. It works but I still can't get any joy out of Alt+Tab. I close a task. SereneScreen appears on my task bar. Alt+Tab now works. I switch to SereneScreen, move the mouse, and SereneScreen terminates as it should. How does SereneScreen get itself active in the background with no mention on the task bar? Why does this disable task switching via the keyboard? Has anyone else seen this?
