How many gallons of water needed to fill my 65 inch Mitsubishi tank?
Hi all,
I downloaded this SS a couple of days ago, it's FANTASTIC! Just for fun I tell my friends I bought a fish tank and that they should stop by and take a gander. They always ask "How many gallons" to which I don't have the answer, so I make up a answer and say " 200 gallons". Would it be safe to say 200 gallons would fit in a 65" Mitsubishi HDTV ?: ![]() Now in real life I'm sure bigger fish can fit in this tank (Mitsubishi 65") than the ones we have. Maybe just 1 or 2 bigger fish would be nice. Maybe a option for people with big TV's. I surf a forum "AVScience" and many people ther use this SS and would love a bigger fish or two. So, tell me, how many gallons would fit in this TV? I have a HTPC by the way : > I simply love this SS and it's WORTH THE $20 AND MORE if you ask me ! Deborah |

One cubic foot (12 x 12 x 12=1728 cubic inches) is equal to 7.48052 US gallons.
So, if your 65" wide TV was 26.584 inches high and 1 (one) inch deep it would have the equivalent of one cubic foot or hold 7.48052 gallons and weigh 62.4 pounds (just the water) If my math is correct ![]() Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889 – 1951) The limits of my language are the limits of my mind. The picture part of a 65" Mitsubishi HDTV is approx 39 inches high, 52 inches wide, and 24 inches deep. 48,672 cubic inches gives me 28.17 cubic feet or 210.7 gallons of water.
So you were awfully close. ![]()
