What to look forward too?

Will there be two bubble columns in the aquarium down the road?
Will we be able to choose our own gravel out?
Or be able to choose from different coral by size,shape,and color?

In that order, at least that is the current information. There will be a new 3D background, 2x as wide as the current one, new fish addons that you can choose from, and several more items are in the works. Our feature page with all that is currently defunct, while we are reworking several things, but it will return.

The current background will be completely replaced by a 3D modeled background that, when the "camera" tracks from left to right (you can't move the camera around), will blow away the 3D backgrounds all the other screen savers have been attempting. Jim is using a couple of "why doesn't everyone do it this way?" methods which crank up the realism but keep the FPS high.

I think the most exciting thing about the 3D background will just be the feeling that things are organic and we'll have (unless something changes), opening and closing clams (the 4 blue guys in the bottom center are clams!), things swaying and moving slowly, etc.

I don't think many (if any, besides the lights and bubble column) things will be customizable on the 3D background.

I am so ready for these changes, plus the individual fish behaviors and interactions. When I purchased this software nearly a year ago, I was lead to believe that these were coming soon. The latest upgrade was a ho-hum experience for me. Outwardly, it appears like the developer has gone onto other financially lucrative projects. Please don't forget Marine Aquarium!

It wasn't by choice. When things went to market for the original saltwater version and the cd's they ran into the problem that alot of the distribution stores wouldn't carry it because Jim had only one title. They want you to have multiple titles before they would agree to stock and sell anything.

So Jim, was stuck with the option of letting thousands of copies sit and collect dust or work on another title to release to meet requirements.

Thats ok, sometimes people use quotes to answer the previous post, heh. Dead center on the bottom in the sand. Those are blue clams.
