Exclamation My Fish Tank

First of all, I must comment on the excellent simulation you have acheived with your program--nice job!!!

I thought I would just drop in a message to share how I've implemented your program in what I call, Fish-In-A-Wall (not to be confused with wall-fishing ;-) ) Basically, this consists of an LCD flat-panel display, a PC, and the SereneScreen Aquarium (Plus! for Windows XP version, for now). I started my project by tearing open the wallboard on one of the walls in my living room, and framing-in an inset box into the wall. I have a closet on the other side of this wall, where I have set up a PC that is dedicated to the "fish tank", and some other fun stuff, so the monitir cable just runs right through a hole in the inset box (behind the monitor). After finishing the wall and patching and painting, I hung a 15" (wish I would have put a 16:9 widescreen!) LCD flat-panel display inside of the recessed box, which I measured to fit exactly in the wall and perfectly flush. I mounted a touchpad mouse below the monitor for convenience, yet not distracting. I have in wall speakers too, so the sounds from the air-bubbles in the tank add to the realistic effect. It looks SWEET, if I do say so myself. I have gotten TONS of compliments on it too. It's a fun project, and it adds a great conversational piece to any home. (Wish I had a picture to post handy...oh well...use your imagination).

My wish list? Well, I would of course like to be able to feed the fish, get more fish, see them breath and chase eachother and all of that stuff....BUT, what I'd really like to see is a feature that would allow me to add fighting fish to the tank, or a pirahna, or be able to "tap the tank" so much that you get a couple of floaters! :-D Okay, I know...that's sick. Sorry. Okay, well, how about just being able to feed them and watch them chase eachother?

Anyway, keep up the good work, and good luck keeping up with the demand (you obvisously have created a good product, or no one would even bother to leave you all of these suggestions). Congrats. C YA

We'd love to see a picture of your setup!

My wish list? Well, I would of course like to be able to feed the fish,
Some day.

get more fish
My hope as well. There are dozens more worthy species.

see them breathe
So far, the Lionfish has this. The other fish will breathe some day too.

and chase eachother and all of that stuff
Yes, the fish will have individual behaviors some day, chasing each other, picking at the coral heads, etc.

BUT, what I'd really like to see is a feature that would allow me to add fighting fish to the tank, or a pirahna,
SereneScreen. Nuff said.

or be able to "tap the tank"
You'll be able to tap the glass, but to no ill effect to the fish.

Please post a picture or two of that setup. – Sounds really neat.

As for the Pirahna, methinks it wouldn't really find itself too comfortable in a marine aquarium, don't you think

Thanks to Morgan, Tiny Snapshots is up and running again with "Tiny Järvafält" as the latest addition – Go have a look and tell me what you think.

I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says,
'Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.'
I suppose we all thought that, one way or another.
