I totally agree, and I'm really not trying to be argumentative.
The question is how to
visually compare different frame rates, in order to pick the most appropriate setting. I can do that easily with the arrow keys in 10d. I can't do that with 11L.
I'm open to hearing from others who can explain why the "five-step" process is better for visually adjusting the performance.
By the way - I'm not "hung up" on the up/down arrow keys. Those would be fine for volume control. Please just pick two other keys (for instance: page up and page down, or F8 and F9), and have them move the slider on the "frame rate". View it as to "facilitate testing". Leave it in the product.
