Good point surferminn. We are the product of our culture. As children we believe what we are told. If we are lucky then we grow up (get educated/enilghtened) and set aside Santa Clause, Tooth Fairy, and other harmless "pretend" beliefs. If we are really lucky we grow up in a culture steeped in science and reason and don't have "pretent" beliefs in the first place.

If we are really lucky our parents let us watch Star Trek !
Reasons people don't watch Star Trek:
60% - It’s for nerds.
39% - The show’s stupid.
01% - My parents were killed by Klingons and it's still too painful.
