Strange. Not that I'd know what's wrong or how to fix that but have you tried changing the start of the day of week yet?
I sure wouldn't expect the calendar (below month and time) to be gone without there being some serious error but like I say I don't know how the program actually works in that regard (bitmapped or textually).
Having seen that the calendar works in different languages that might be a clue that it functions in the textual sense and could be a sign of a problem with a data field layout (as opposed to bitmaps).
I'll let the true programmers have a say on this.
Still, you might want to try changing start of week and see if it helps (changing back again afterward?).
