This is a design aspect of the SereneScreen.com website which I have had substantial communication and brainstorming with Prolific about.

When you go to purchase an upgrade to Marine Aquarium 3.0 from a previous product, you are prompted to enter an old keycode and the e-mail address used to purchase that product. If the keycode and e-mail address you enter match SereneScreen.com records, then you are taken to a page where you can buy the Download upgrade. However, if the information you enter does not match SereneScreen.com records, and you ignore the subsequent warnings and proceed to purchase an upgrade anyway, then you are buying a CD-ROM only upgrade.

To resolve this issue, you should e-mail service @ serenescreen.com who will locate your records (we can search by keycode, past e-mails, etc.), and replace your CD-ROM keycode with a Download keycode, and then update your e-mail address in the records so future upgrades are painless.

If it's any consolation, this is one of the top issues on SereneScreen.com right now.
